Lee Bowden (Linden) -Actress, writer, producer & director
in motion pictures, television and commercial. six years on the
National Board of Directors of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), eight
years Treasurer of the American Federation of Television and Radio
Artists (AFTRA), Artist Manager for Lynn Anderson, Personal Assistant
to Bob Newhart and Governor Lamar Alexander.
Born a "Hoosier"
and subsequently lived 22 years in Los Angeles, then 16 years in
Nashville, Karen now calls Linden home. In addition
to acting, and business careers, she worked 5 years as a nurse.

The
Ward Bros Stuntmen of Texas is a Linden family
business which provides actors and stuntmen to the film industry,
and western oriented entertainment events. The original members
were brothers Autry, Troy, Steve “West”, and Dennis.
They were joined by sister, Carolyn and Autry’s children,
Anthony Lee and Donnie. Daughter, Brandy, became an actress and
co-starred in two films. |

Autry Ward |
Autry
Ward (Linden) was born August 28, 1937 in the Red Hill Community
of Cass County, Texas, and attended school in Linden. After graduation
from Texarkana Community College, he served in the United States Air
Force during the Korean War. Following his discharge from the Air
Force in 1956, he studied drama at the Buster Keaton Studio in Hollywood,
CA. He broadened his appeal to studios by honing his skills with horses,
motorcycles, weapons, and ability to perform stunts. His first movie
was Merry Andrews, starring Danny Kaye. Autry worked in films
with many of Hollywood’s greats, including: Clint Eastwood,
Kevin Costner, John Wayne, Robert Duvall, Roy Rogers, Ben Johnson,
Chuck Norris, John Saxon, Robert Preston, Steve McQueen, Dennis Quaid,
and Audie Murphy. In 1962, Autry established Ward Bros. Stuntmen
of Texas with his brothers, Troy, Steve, and Dennis. This
team of brothers became familiar faces in many Hollywood productions
– specializing as “Heavies” and performing stunts.
They also performed for specialty and corporate events in Texas; eventually
Autry’s sons, Donnie and Anthony, and sister, Carolyn,
joined the company. Autry is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG)
and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA).
He is also registered with the Texas Film Commission.

Ward ( Linden )
was born on October 25, 1971 in Kearney , Arizona . Her parents,
Autry and . Ward moved back to Linden , Texas . In her early
youth, Brandy started working in live action shows with her family
and the Ward Bros Stuntmen of Texas. She co-starred
with Drew Barrymore in the ABC After School Special - The Adventures
of Con Sawyer and HuckleMary Finn , in which she played Huck.

Ward Chandler (Linden) was born in Linden, Texas on September
20, 1948.
She joined her brothers Ward Bros. Stuntmen of Texas
and performed for two years with their live shows throughout the state
of Texas. Carolyn was a High Fall Specialist, and performed in a variety
of acting and stunt roles. |

Dennis
Ward (Linden) was born in 1953 in Ray, Arizona, and raised
in Linden, Texas. He joined in older brothers, Autry, Steven and Troy,
as a member of the Ward Bros Stuntmen of Texas in
1970. Following a duty of duty with the United States Air force in
Viet-Nam, he rejoined the team and worked live shows throughout the
state of Texas. He performed in Silent Rage with Chuck Norris,
where he had a fight scene
with Norris. Dennis is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and American

Ward (Linden)
was born in Linden, Texas on January 21, 1970 and is the son of Stuntman/Actor
Autry Ward. He joined his uncles with the Ward Bros Stuntmen
of Texas and performed acting and stunts in live performances
in Texas. He specialized in high building falls and falling from moving

“West” Ward
(Linden) was born on November 19, 1942 in Carthage, Texas and raised
in Linden, Texas. West became a member of the Ward Bros
Stuntmen of Texas in 1963. He worked at the Apache Land
Movie Studio in Arizona for two years as a stuntman and actor. He
worked in numerous films with Hollywood greats, such as: Audie Murphy,
Marty Robbins, Jason Robards, Steve McQueen, Roy Rogers, and Chuck
Norris. West was also in Wrangler Jeans print ads. He was a member
of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of
Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA).

Ward (Linden) was born on April 17, 1940 in Linden, Texas.
After serving in the US Army, troy joined his brothers in 1962 as
an actor and stuntman. He was numerous films that were filmed at the
Apache Land Movie Studios, and Old Tucson Studios in Arizona. He performed
with many Hollywood greats, such as: Audie Murphy, John Wayne, Marty
Robbins, Jason Robards, Steve McQueen, Roy Rogers, and Chuck Norris.
Troy was a member of the Ward Bros. Stuntmen of Texas
with his brothers, Autry, Steve, and Dennis. This team of brothers
became familiar faces in many Hollywood productions – specializing
as “Heavies” and performing stunts. They also performed
for specialty and corporate events in Texas. Troy was a member of

Albino
Hinojosa (Kildare) - Albino Hinojosa was born in Atlanta,
Texas in 1943 and lived his early life in Kildare, Cass County,
Texas. Upon graduation from Linden-Kildare High School he
attended Texarkana College where he studied under Otis Lumpkin.
From there he attended East Texas State University and studied under
Charles McGough, Dr. Paul Kelpe and Jack Unruh. After graduation
in 1966 he worked for Ling Temco Vaught as an illustrator where
he received numerous honors in the commercial art field including
Best of Show in Industrial Arts Methods Exhibition in Baltimore,
Maryland in 1967. He taught at Louisana Tech University from
1969 to 2000 and helped to develop their Campus Graphics Department.
He presently paints out of his studio in Ruston, Louisana where
he primarily devotes himself to promoting realism in the art world. |

“Kaheyoh” Williams (Linden) – Kaheyoh
(Good Wood) was born May 3, 1926 in the Mohawk Nation, Aukwesasne,
New York. A Navy veteran of World War II, he moved to Linden, Texas
in 1983. Kaheyoh’s interest in art began at age 6, and by high
school he was helping as a teacher’s assistance in art classes.
He works in pen & ink, oils, and acrylics – specializing
in pastels. He also creates traditional Mohawk wood masks for tribal
dances. |

Sibyl Hunter
( Kidare) - Sibly Hunter of Kildare , formerly of Houston
, and a member of the Atlanta Art League , gave a demonstration
on how to do the back painting on the landscape scene using acrylic
paints , to the league on sunday Jan 23.
Hunter is an accomplished artist in all mediums but her favorites
are oils and acrylics and her favorite this to paint is landscapes.
She graduated form Northeast Texas College in Mt Pleasant in the
late 1970's and attended many workshops held by such notables as
John Potoschnik, Kay Polk, Charles Sovic, and Ted Goeshner. She
Also Studied for serveral years under Lucy Ellis .
She has won many awards for her works over the years including Best
of Show, Marshall ; Purchase Award , Marshall, Bever Bend
Okla and Texarkana. She has works on display and for sell at Juanita's
Cafe, Linden; Campus Collectables, Shreveport , LA ; and Imhof
Gallery , Jefferson.
She emphasized to the gathering the importance of the placement
of the components of the painting and demonstrated how to mark the
edges of the canvas so the painting will be balanced .
She said, " The use of a very light stoke in painting clouds
is very important. You can always repeat your strokes to make
the colors become more vibrant. |
